Applying Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies to the public transit sector is Global Transportation Technologies, Inc (GTTI) expertise. GTTI understands the operations, information, and technology coupled together and necessary to provide an effective and efficient public transit service. GTTI utilizes this expertise to provide technology needs assessments, operational analysis, new system procurement guidance, project management, implementation quality assurance, and integration of new and existing ITS technologies. This experience is applied to many modes of transit and multiple operational paradigms. We assists transit authorities in leveraging ITS technology to provide improved service to the public, increased safety to all, and increased efficiency in asset utilization. GTTI provides system integration of the technologies, leadership on incorporating the required transit data, independent verification and validation, and statistical data analysis.
GTTI is a Maryland based ITS engineering firm founded in August 2005 to assist the public transportation market in defining, deploying, integrating, and validating ITS technologies. We are fortunate to have personnel that have been leaders and innovators in the development ITS technologies for public bus, light rail, and paratransit over the past two decades. These personnel have gained invaluable experience working many diverse transit authorities to gain a significant understanding of transportation planning, scheduling, operations, and maintenance. GTTI staff have been fortunate to have been the innovators behind multiple vendors technologies for the CAD, AVL, and ATIS technologies. GTTI acquires over 90% of its business resulting from past and current customers. GTTI presently serves as the implementation specialist to SEPTA’s Customized Community Transportation (CCT) System ITS Upgrade project including paratransit trip booking, scheduling, dispatching, billing, on-board manifest processing, and interactive voice recognition systems.
